Date Night Makeup

I always look forward to date night. It is the only time I have a chance to dress up and doll myself up, unless there is another event during the same weekend.  This is a simple and quick makeup look when you are in a rush and you are ready to rush out the door.  The best thing about this look is that it is mostly drugstore makeup; you don’t need to spend a great deal of money to look like a million bucks.

Products Used:

1. L’oreal Youth Code Pore Vanisher- This is a dupe for Benefit’s Porefessional.  I like to apply this on a clean face before I start my makeup.  I like to apply it mostly on my cheeks and on my nose, I have dry skin, but I have small pores, and this product does a nice job in blurring them out.

2. Milani Eyeshadow Primer- My holygrail eyeshadow primer!  This primer makes my eyeshadow last the entire night without budging and creasing.

3. L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush:  The perfect rose gold eyeshadow. It is truly a beauty! This is my go-to eyeshadow when I have no idea on what eye look to create.  What I love about this collection is that the eyeshadows are creamy and blend like a dream; they are also a dupe for Armani’s Eyes to Kill Eyeshadow ($34).  Save yourself $26.00, and go to your local drugstore and pick a few up for $7.99 each.

4. Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Crème Brulee- The perfect transition eyeshadow to blend out any harsh lines.  I apply this on my crease after applying my lid eyeshadow to blend any lines out and to set a transition between my lid and brow bone area.

5. Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Cocoa Bear- This is probably one of the most beautiful brownish eyeshadows with a red undertone that I own.  It is such a creamy matte eyeshadow and blends like a dream.  I apply this product to the outer corner of my eyes and blend into my crease to create depth.

5. Mac Eyeshadow in Shroom- Jaclyn Hill’s favorite brow bone highlight. It is a neutral champagne eyeshadow, which is perfect for the brow bone area.

6. Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Corrupt- This is the blackest matte eyeshadow I have ever encountered. Usually, a nice matte and blendable black eyeshadow is hard to come across. I like to apply this eyeshadow on my lower lash line. After I have done this, I go in with Cocoa Bear to blend it out and to make it look less harsh on the eye.  Take your time with this area; blending is key.  I would suggest blending this area for about 1 minute back and forth to get rid of any harsh lines.  Raccoon eyes are not cute.

7. Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara Black- The best drugstore mascara. Enough said.

8. L’oreal Paris True Match Foundation in N-2 Classic Ivory- I have yellow and pink undertones, so if you have both of these undertones, I would recommend a neutral foundation.  This has become one of my favorite foundations. It blends into the skin seamlessly and has great coverage without looking like a cake.  The duration of this foundation is long-lasting as well.

9. NYX HD Photo Concealer in Light- I apply this concealer to cover up any dark circles and blemishes.  It does not settle into fine lines, and it doesn’t dry out your under-eye area.

10. Milani Baked Blush in Rose D’ Oro- Milani continues to impress me with its baked blushes, and this one is no exception.  It is bronzy burnt rose blush, which adds warmth to your face.

11. Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit in Medium- I love this product for my eyebrows.  It fills into any gaps and sparse hairs.  It is a very natural looking brow powder.

12.  The Body Shop Aloe Vera Lip Care- I decided to add a shiny, natural-looking lipgloss to my lips.
