A few months ago, Anastasia Beverly Hills launched an entire range of lip glosses. Everything from reds to vampy colors to nudes shades were released in the line. Throughout the year, they’ve released more colors. 43 shades are now available on Anastasia’s website.
I purchased two pink shades. Pastel Pink is a gorgeous, cool-toned, baby pink, nude shade, but on my lips, it completely washed me out; so, I took it off right away. I didn’t even give it a chance. On the other hand, there’s Peony, a dusty rose pink and my kind of color.
One swipe of these lip glosses is all you need to get color out of them. Yes, they are that pigmented! Not only that, but the lip glosses are so creamy. They are not your typical slick, oily lip gloss. They are very much comparable to NYX’s Butter lip glosses, but with more of a thicker consistency, and they have that lovely smell that butter glosses are known for, but the smell doesn’t linger. The thickness and the slight stickiness helps the lip glosses last longer on the lips; however, after eating or drinking, you must slab on some more. The doe-foot applicator provides easy application.
While I completely loved the Peony hue and the texture of it, I can’t say that I would purchase these lip glosses again. Yeah, I know, such a bummer. The reason is because after a few hours, my lips had buildup of lip gloss gunk. Embarrassing and gross! Such a shame because the colors are stunning! I see why these are highly-rated, but the obvious accumulation of lip gloss is enough to put me off.
