Rose Gold Makeup Look

On Memorial Day, my family and I went out to brunch, and I was feeling happy and glowy; so, I wanted to portray those feelings through my makeup. Below, I have listed the steps I achieved to recreate this makeup look.

Steps:

1. Prime your eyes- This will serve  as a base for your eyeshadows. I used Milani’s eyeshadow primer to prevent creasing throughout the day.

2. Apply a transition eyeshadow-I applied Makeup Geek’s eyeshadow in Crème Brulee onto the crease and blended it out to create a transition between my lid and brow bone.

3. Create Depth-After that, I applied cocoa bear onto the outer corner to create depth and definition. I blended this eyeshadow out to soften up the look.

4. Apply Lid Pigment– The starlight of the whole look, Mac’s pigment in Rose, is such a beautiful pigment! This pigment is a true rose eyeshadow with specks of gold. If you have blue and green eyes, this pigment is going to make your eyes pop, and you will be receiving compliments left and right.  I am truly amazed by the pigmentation and staying power of this pigment. I like to use Too Faced’s glitter glue as an a base on the lid, and then, I apply this pigment on top for vibrancy.

5. Apply Thick Eyeliner on lid– I used L’oreal infallible gel liner to create a small winged out look. Usually, rosy eyeshadows or pigments tend to make you look sick, or they give an illusion of pink eye or an infection. Applying a thick eyeliner will cause an effect of separation. You will still be able to see the beautiful pigment on the lid, but it won’t be boom in your face. The pigment will still peek through and look beautiful.

6. Coat those lashes– I always considered mascara as the little black dress for your eyes. A good mascara could easily transform your eye look. It is weird, but it is true.  When I finish my eye makeup, I always sense something is missing. Once I apply mascara, my lashes look perky, which creates a flirty look. I used Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in black to add the most volume and length.

7. Apply a BB Cream– Since I did not moisturize my face or apply an SPF lotion onto my face, I went with a BB cream to give me enough coverage and provide the benefits I am seeking to protect my face from the scorching sun. I applied Pond’s Luminous Finish BB+ Cream in light. This BB cream provides a luminous and dewy finish to the face, causing a healthy, glowy look without looking like a grease-ball.  This product gives enough coverage to cover up any imperfections and blemishes that you are trying to conceal without overdoing it and looking like cake face.

8. Conceal– Apply your favorite concealer to hide any dark circles, blemishes and to clean up any eyeshadow fallout.  I used Maybelline’s Age Rewind concealer in light.

9. Make your cheeks Blush– I skipped the bronzer and went with a beautiful blush, and it created a natural, flushed look on the cheeks. Since I had a lot going on on the eyes, I did not want to go overboard with my face makeup; therefore, I used Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Blush in Adventurous, which contained subtle specks of gold, and it created a glowy, highlighted effect to the apples of my cheeks.

10. Lipgloss- They say my lip gloss is popping. My lip gloss is cool…. haha well, not really popping, but cool yes! I have naturally pigmented lips, so I applied a clear lipgloss with specks of gold to define my lips and make them look pouty and plump. I used Milani’s Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in Nude Touch; this is a beautiful lipgloss that is easy to apply when you are in a rush, and it is not sticky.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! This was definitely one of my favorite makeup looks I have ever done. I love it so much that I am considering filming a video for those who prefer visuals like myself. Please let me know down below if you would like to see a video! It is easy and can be worn for date night, an event, brunch with your girlfriends and even clubbing.

I am so excited for summer! I love corals, gold, bronzy, rose gold eye looks, and I can’t wait to create more colorful makeup tutorials.

Love always,

Jennifer
